Information we process

Account information, including your email address and profile settings.

Device and application information needed to connect supported Hearit.AI hardware, diagnose failures, and protect the service.

Audio that you actively choose to record with a connected Hearit.AI device, together with resulting transcripts, translations, summaries, chat messages, notes, and text-to-speech requests.

When you sign in, we may process a short-lived encrypted IP address, a masked network prefix, and a coarse country, region, or city estimate for account security, abuse prevention, and technical support. We also keep limited sign-in activity records.

The app may send a minimal allow-listed environment snapshot: platform, system version, device manufacturer/model, app version/build, language, and time zone. The installation identifier is random and stored in the platform secure store.

After authentication succeeds, we keep a versioned record that you accepted the Terms and acknowledged the Privacy Policy. The record may include the interface language, time, sign-in method, platform, app version/build, and random installation identifier. Requesting an email verification code alone does not create an account or record legal acceptance.

Federated sign-in and account linking

If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the provider account identifier, a verified email address, and any display name the provider chooses to share. We never receive your Google or Apple password.

Email, Google, and Apple sign-in methods that present the same verified email address may be linked to one Hearit.AI account. A provider display name may replace a default name derived from the email address; you can edit your display name in the application.

If you explicitly unlink a Google or Apple sign-in method, we retain a limited record of the provider identifier and its Hearit.AI account association to prevent silent relinking by email. We delete that record when you explicitly relink the same method to the same account or delete the Hearit.AI account.

Information we do not collect for these purposes

Hearit.AI does not collect your contacts, advertising ID, list of other installed apps, GPS location, Wi-Fi SSID/BSSID, or a permanent hardware identifier. Nearby Bluetooth devices are not uploaded unless you choose and connect a supported Hearit.AI device.

How recording works

Hearit.AI does not continuously record by default. Audio capture begins when you actively start a recording or voice function on the device or in the application. You are responsible for obtaining any consent required before recording other people.

AI service provider

For the 2.17.0 release, text chat on Android and iOS uses OpenAI GPT by default in every country and region. DeepSeek (deepseek-chat) and Qwen (qwen-plus) are implemented as global optional models but remain disabled by default; an administrator may enable them only after provider diagnostics and audited publication. The app contains no provider API keys. Transcription, translation, and speech processing use separate service configuration. Information needed to perform your request may be sent to the provider selected by that configuration.

Advertising and tracking

Hearit.AI does not display advertising, sell personal information, or use advertising trackers in the application or these legal pages.

Retention, security, and deletion

Reversible IP ciphertext is removed after 90 days. Coarse sign-in activity, including a masked network prefix and coarse region, is retained for up to 365 days for security and support. Other information is retained only as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect users.

You can request account deletion in the application or on the public account deletion page. The request enters a cancellation period before eligible account data is deleted or de-identified, subject to legal and security retention requirements.
